I also just found that you can get brand new GM alum bellhousings from 
Ground Up http://www.ss396.com  (2nd hand info, 3rd hand info to you).  
And Ebay has several listings for bellhousings (which I did confirm, 
and cheap too!).

Bear in mind there are 6 different part #s for GM auto bellhousings.
I have a buddy who may be sending me the details, and I'll post it all 
on a page.
