Well he's right about there being no designation on the VIN for an SS vs a
Malibu in 69 but that car is a Malibu not an SS. The picks are bad but the
side molding is Malibu and the the front side light is Malibu. SS had no
side molding in 69 and the engine size was below the SS not on the side
marker light bezel.
  With that said I wouldn't buy a car w/o a VIN tag unless I checked the VIN
that's stamped on the firewall and it matched his title and I was just going
to part it out.
  The body and floors look pretty good. I would check into it for that price
if I lived close.
