Subject: [Chevelle-list] Headliner progress and question

I am largely through installing a new headliner. It
has worked very well. A couple of things to share and
a question.
What I did before the bows were slid in the loops was
to measure from center about 23", 24", 25" 26" and
mark the loop. Then I cut with sissors at those
intervals. Then after installing the bows in their
respective holes, start from the middle and tighten up
"without glue" from side to side the then front center
to corners and finally back center to corners.

I had heard someone say to get a bunch of those metal
binder clips from your work place (return them later..
lol) and fasten that way. Use the adhiesive in the
same pattern. Now, on the loops, I found that if the
loops are too long, like in the back, cut the loops
back in your 1 inch increments to allow the material
to streatch laterally down the bows.

Finally, I had 2 sets of sail panels. One is OPG and
the other was PUI product. Can't remember where I got
it. But the PUI product is slightly thicker and has a
2 inch wide stiffener on the back.
Now, for the question. Did the 66-67's have a courtest
light in sail panel area? I found these holes about 2
1/2 inches or so with tabs in the sheet metal.

Thanks, have a great weekend
