Pelle, it will be easier to remove the drive shaft with the rear end dropped. You don't have to drop it all the way, just to the point that the shocks are at their end of travel. Once the rear is dropped, while the rear of the car is supported with jack stands, simply remove the four bolts the at hold the rear u joint onto the rear yoke. You might have to rotate the shaft a little so put the trans in neutral.  Hope this helps.

Looks like I have to change the U-joints and the tailshaft bushing!
Should i do this with the rear axle dropped or lifted?
