Check out the Wheel & Tire Database at Team Chevelle.  http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33229  On a 68-72,up to a 275 front and 315 rear tire can be fitted. Backspace is the critical part. Getting it right will allow up to a 9.5" front and 11" rear wheel. 335's will not fit without frame & wheel tub mods. I say this from personal experience. I'm running 17x9's with 5" backspacing on the front and 17x13's with 7" backspacing on the rear. Tires are 275/40/17 and 335/35/17 Kumho V700 Victoracers at the present but I have a new set of Michelin Pilot Sports waiting to go on. My El Camino has been backhalved,though.
