What makes a Kiesler so great? My 400 sure has taken some abuse and held
up
well!

Subject: [Chevelle-list] rear for my 66
All,
I think Im ready to pick up a new rear for my 66. What
Im shooting for is one that I can buy already together
and bolt right into the car. I know engines but know
nothing about rears, and everyone Ive spoken with has
told me it can get messy if you dont know what youre
doing. The car currently has a 10-bolt open rear in it
(Im guessing 3.08 as it was originally a 283 car). The
car has a 327/300HP and a 2-spd powerglide now. I also
want to get a rear the same size (width) as the
existing 10-bolt, as I dont want to push my wheels and
tires out any further. Im hoping for something around
3.73 gears and a posi in the replacement.
Any input or links would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Jim
