try doing what I did w/my 70 Chevelle SS,,I took a pair of chrome 
covers,,it took 2 of the same side{ the side that has no baffels on the 
underside} layoff the location of the rocker studs, use a hole saw and drill 
holes at those proper locations{ of the rocker studs}, debur holes,,remember 
use correct size hole saw to accomidate those FACTORY rubber oil plugs,,,HAVE 
YOU EVER SEEN CHEVROLET "HEMI" big block valve covers???? YOU HAVE NOW!!!!! 
I'vebeen running them for 3-4 yrs.,,no problem oil for the pivet balls.
