James,

On mine, if you look at the gasket on the plate, there is a removeable circle.  I took that out and then just drilled a hole that size, 2.5 inches I think.

Subject: TRANS CONVERSION

Hey Guys, I need a little advice...  actually I need allot but I will take a little at a time :o). I am converting from auto on the column to 4 spd on the floor with console. I would like to know if I should cut the trans tunnel just big enough for the shifter and gate to function or cut the inside perimeter of the shift tunnel pan ? Pros/cons ? also the steering column seal plate that attaches to the fire wall ,I need to make the hole that the linkage rod from the peddle to the z-bar needs to go through .what size/shape should it be? its easier to cut twice than to try and weld the mistakes back in. any and all input is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jimmy.C
