John, I haven't replaced mine yet, haven't gotten that far, but there is a network of wires that cross back and forth to hold the insulation in place. I can try to take a picture with my little dig camera for you if you would like.
If the wire set is not part of the kit, I'm assuming it isn't, it should be.
