Purple stuff seems to be really good, but it'll choke you if you get too close to the fumes. Simple green works pretty good (I use it full strength) but you have to spray it on and let it soak for about 10 minutes before you dare to try to scrub it. I'm bad to use the $.99 cans of ether engine starting fluid for degreasing stuff quickly, or worse yet brake cleaner... be beware it makes your hands white and crackly.
