Good advice so far, especially determining now what results you desire.  It gets expensive to do it twice (or 3 X) when you change goals half way thru.   I would advise you to check with whatever supplier you use & find out what branded parts that they are selling.  MOOG, TRW & DANA are well known manufacturers of quality hard parts.  IE ball joints, tie rod end, etc.  I will never again use off-shore no-name parts.

Back in 1990 I ordered a rebuild kit from one of the  companys that advertise on the back covers of several magazines.   It looked fine, but by 1997 I was replacing it all again because the wear items were worn out- after not so many thousands of miles.  I replaced it all (except upper control arms from GW) with MOOG parts from the local parts store.  Cost was similar and I have put many more thousands of miles on these items with no problem.

The ball joints can be tricky, but any machine shop will be able to press them in at nominal cost.  I wouldn't replace the whole arm unless it was cracked.  Good luck and if you are at all handy, its NOT that hard to do.
