Donnie..

Herb, Phil and the other comments made echo my own feelings.

This is NOT a new Phenonemom. I left VCCA back in 74 for the same reason.. My driven 37 master rumble seat coupe .was judged along side a Museum car, that did not even have fuel in the gas tank or oil in the engine @[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Dose it bother me ? No.. I most the time opt out of the judging because of the un-level playing field, and bask in the knowledge I am ther for the company of like minded CAR NUTS.

Do they need a Museum Class...???? I think there events in the Country that cater to these ULTRA pampered collector/investor items...

Here's my 2 cents: Those of you who know me already know how I feel about
trailers. For those that don't know me, I think trailers are for cars that
are still being built, are broke, or you're moving and have more cars than
drivers.

With that said, I actually don't mind being in a show class with trailered
cars - I love it when my El is picked over the trailer queens - even with
the paint chips and bug stains!

The funny thing is I've probably got more time and money in the paint than
most people put in their entire car - trailer queens included. In spite of
my investment in the paint, I built my car so I could enjoy driving it -
rain or shine. I don't purposely wait until a rainy day to drive it, but if
I'm on the road and the sky opens up, so be it. I've driven my El on two
complete Power Tours, one Chevelabration, numerous shows two or more hours
away from home, more rain storms than I care to remember, rush hour traffic,
gravel roads, you name it I've probably driven the El in/on it.

My reasoning is simple - I have a pick up for normal every day use. So why
would I want to drive my pick up with the El on a trailer to go to a car
event? What's the point of building a killer engine and drivetrain if it's
going to sit on a trailer doing 55 down the interstate? If people want to
trailer their toys more power to them. I'll continue to be trailerless and
enjoy driving my old cars and even beat the trailer queens at the car shows
once in a while! :)

Donnie,

I agree with John that the non-trailer guys would like a separate
class. Call it the "Best Car Driven to the Show Award" or something to
that effect.
