[Chevelle-list] Carrier

I stumbled accross a carrier that is stamed 410409N.  From what I can tell it is out of an 8.5 10 bolt rear end.  Is this correct?  I was hoping to use it for my 12 bolt but I dont think it will work.  Any help here would be appreciated.   Thanks Ryan
