My business partner has an 03 Suburban. He has been hearing a "knock" at very low speeds under load like when he is going up his steep driveway. He had his vehicle at the dealer for his free oil change, and when they brought his Suburban around, the driver heard the noise, which had gotten worse, and he said he thought it was the torque converter.   Can someone give me a brief overview on how a torque converter works, and what can be knocking?   Thanks, Larry Shouse
