Those little buggers are a major PIA. When you pull your dash, get some 5
minute epoxy & glue those suckers into the bulb holders. When removing
them, it's best to take a pocket screwdriver & work your way around the
socket to get them loose from the dash.

Well, it didn't take long for a couple of the metal collars that hold the
bulbs into the plastic socket to pull out and strand the brand new bulbs
inside the gauges. Looks like I am going to have to drop the dash eventually
anyway. There are some that just don't want to come out without leaving the
metal ring (and the bulb) behind. I also have one gray wire hanging down
that is missing the metal ring that holds the bulb into the socket. If any
of you have a parts car, it would be great if you could mail me this tiny
part.
