I can't say anything about jets, but I've run Holley 600 carburetors on my 327 and 350 engines and they were great.  The 327 had about 350 horsepower and was great with the 600 double pumper.  I'm sure gas mileage could have been better with a vacuum secondary, but that was not my goal.

The Chevelle 350 had a Holley 350 vacuum secondary for years and it was more than enough carb.  Unless you plan to rev to the moon, 600-650 is just fine for the street.  My Chevelle likely does not see 5,000 RPM, so there is no way it needs that much air.  I now have the Q-Jet which is a 750, but the primaries are tiny and you still get great drivability from it.  I would not go to a larger Holley, but if you have carb problems, you might want to consider a new Holley Avenger or similar carb that should be nice and fresh.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] which carb

I've looked to you guys for help and im back . I have a 350 with approx 375 horses .  I found out the carb that came off my 283 is a Holley 600 double pumper.,when we swapped motors,we put it on the new engine. Its flooding out on the secondary's every once in a while so i got a buddy to help me rebuild it when we get some time this week. before i put it on, should i think about another carb, such as a 700 or 750?I don't know what jets it has ,but i bought a set of #75 jets to put in it. is this enough air (600cfm) or should i look else where?
thanks for your help,again
Bob
