Actually John, just go to your local parts store with your old choke cover in hand, and ask them to find an electric choke to fit. The guts are mounted to the cover. You know if they could match up to my 40 year old Rochester your Edelbrock will be a piece of cake.

Thanks Mike. I will probably do that if the lube & wire tie trick doesn’t work. As I mentioned, sometimes it is advantageous to have a manual choke. I guess I would have to go to a place like Summit or Jegs for the kit to install on the carb? I originally bought the carb from one of those two.

John, All it takes to go electric is to run a single switched 12 volt wire. I even converted my center carb of my tri power setup on my Tempest to electric. It's a 1965 rochester two barrel. Works great.
