The bolts should be fine as long as they have not been yielded but, why re-use such a inexpensive and critical part? I would think a grade 5 would be all you would need; you can look at the markings on the head to identify what you have/what was used originally. IE, if you have 3 lines pointed toward the center, you have a grade 5 bolt. If confused, find a fastener store nearby[ Revcar, Fastenal,etc] and let the counter guys help you. Don't forget to lubricate your new bolts; threads and all surfaces, like washers, that will see friction.

Hi Everyone..
I am rebuilding my frontend over the winter here in Alberta...Canada...I have all new pieces, in fact the only things that I will be re-using are the upper and lower control arms.I was wondering about the original bolts..Do you think that I should re-use them or go and get new??I was thinking they may loose their strength over time..I don't know..If I do get new are they regular Grade 8 bolts or is there better ones to use???
