He didn't want to lose the El and since his wife didn't know me or where I lived, he signed the title over to me, canceled his insurance, and parked it in my garage. Once the divorce was final, he had to pay her $1000 or some amount like that and didn't have the money. I told him since I already own the car, I should probably give him some money for it. I paid $2200 to begin my never ending journey with this car!
