I'm not a huge stickler for 'correct', but I got my rivet gun from harbor freight, and it came with some huge rivets.  They fit perfect.  Not sure about 'correctness' though.   The 5/8" ones from the following are what I think I used: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=34080   Later Charles www.65ss.com          How available are the rivets to install the grill?
