I had a fiberglass hood on my 70 Camaro, and there's no doubt about it - the 'glass was much lighter. But what about fenders? Trunk lid? Are the fiberglass ones that much lighter? With hoods, there's all that other junk on the bottom. Fenders are just, well, fenders, and sheet metal ones never seemed to be that heavy to me.
