They'd reported that the Red LS6 had been in a police chase in 1975 and the owner was told to park it, or he'd wind up in jail, so he put it in storage. Had like 10k miles on it and was original, not restored. They reported that this was the
first time the car had been in public since 1975.
I can understand the history of the race car, but still seems kind of nuts... Wonder what a REALLY famous race car would
go for...like one of Grumpy's camaros...  ;)

That Red LS6 ragtop has been restored, it's not an unrestored car. As for the race car, they were bidding on the history of it more than anything, but it's still nothing more than the mentalilty of "I have more money than you do" Tom
