Two years ago a friend bought a basket case '62 Falcon. It had an old mechanical oil pressure gauge that had a leak. I guess that the gauge was installed when the car was almost new. When he pulled the interior to check for rot, he found the most pristine floors he had ever seen in an old car!

Many people don’t like the idea of running an oil line inside the car because they ‘may’ break spewing hot oil all over the interior.  Myself, I’ve run mechanical oil gauges for 30+ years and never had one leak or break inside the car.
