I successfully advanced the mileage on my ’66 odometer.  After removing odometer from speedometer assembly.  Keeping the disks on the shaft.  Going through a series of rotating the gear counter clockwise and then clockwise, realign all the tabs, all while holding the disks and tabs I didn’t want to turn.  Took a few minutes, reinstalled odometer assembly to speedometer. Bench tested it with a drill attachment and it works fine.  Don’t know if this is how the pro repair shops dose it, but it worked for me.  If you would like detailed info – let me know.

I have my ‘66 speedometer completely disassembled.  I kept the odometer in tack but would like to know how to adjust the mileage shown.  I actually want to roll it forward 1250 miles.  (I am one of those anal ones – speedometer was inop with an estimated 1250 driven)  It has little arms that all line up and messing around with them I rolled the hundred wheel back a digit.  Not sure of the functions within.

Thank you for the help – I think after this I will be done with questions for a while.
