What!!! 3 years and scrap a car. I wasn't that rich, so I had to keepem
7-8-9 years. Of course I had to take care of them. That includes a wife of 40
years till present. Generally nothing worth while is easy. gm66

I kept my wife (I do have some smarts) BUT "we" sold the car she drove to
make a down payment on
some furniture for our first Apartment ...(49 dollars a month Rent) ..

BUT LOOKING back I sure wish we had kept her OLD car....and it was rather
old...10 years ! and at that time (1965) nobody kept a car more then 3
years because after 3 years every car was junk...

It was a 55 Chevy....(Belair 2 Door Hardtop, V8 with 3 on the
tree....Turquoise and white..).
it did however use a little oil...like a quart a day !

The car "we" kept.... My 61 VW it simply did not use oil and It got better
gas milage and at 25 cents a gallon for gas it was important ...

BUT even at the prices at BJ this years .... I would still keep my
wife...
