i also have 40's on mine, and they are a little loud for me.

I have 40’s on mine..like I said in a previous post, I think it’s a little loud, but never had any pops…but then there is a little more involved in popping then exhaust pressure.

 

I plan on changing out the mufflers this next summer to quite it down some.

When I called Flowmaster, they said that the 40 series was NOT recommended for big blocks. The guy said they tend to pop.

Anyone here running Super 40s?  I was going to do the regular old 40 series two chamber ones (=LOUD).  But the Flowmaster website says the Super 40s are just as loud outside, but with less interior resonance (that Flowmaster drone @ about 2000-2500 rpm).  Just curious if anyone had them.
