Just remember that with a 1968 hood you have to use 1968 hinges. The
reproduction 68-69 hoods use 1969 hinges but otherwise fit a '68 just as
well.

1970 was the first year that the El Camino used different fenders than the
Chevelle & Malibu. The reason is that the 68-72 El Caminos all use the same
doors & quarter panels, and the 70-72 Chevelle has a bodyline that runs from
the fender, through the door and into the quarter panel. The 70-72 El Camino
fenders don't have the bodyline so that they will match up to the 68-72
doors & quarters. Likewise, the Chevelle fender extensions have an
indentation in the side that the E.C. extensions don't have.
