Even though it wouldn't be correct looking, would a '69 top plate & shroud fit a '68? I think it might, just based on the fact that my car has a 1958 block with a long water pump and later-style pulley setup, and the radiator and shroud were both from friends who just had them laying around. I have no idea what year or model car (or truck) either of them originally came from, but they fit fine AS long as you have the 69-72 top plate, you can use any 69-72
shroud. The 69-70 are the same, the 71-72 are the same. I would use
a 71-72 shroud since it covers more of the radiator. As for the top
plates, there are 2 different ones. One is for a non A/C small block car,
the other one is for a factory A/C car or factory big block car. The ideal
one is the latter of the 2.
