Thanks for all the help. I think I'll try the "socket" and if that doesn't do the trick, then use Mike's advice and weld a nut on top of the bolt. I did have them soaking with PB Blaster before I tried to remove them. However, based on the bolts that I did remove, it does not look like any of the penetrating oil actually migrated up the thread bolts. I might try heating the areas with a torch. When heating, shold the bolt be heated or the surrounding manifold area? Thanks.
