Thanks for your reply. I've heard that term before, but I don't know what it means. Can you or someone else here give me a primer on "clocking" an alternator?

Looks ok, You may need to spin the case around to get it “clocked” to line up your brackets.

Just call Summit they have an excellent support staff. Exchanges are no hassle. Can’t say enough about their service.

Can somebody tell me if this alternator from Summit will work with an original harness with external regulator? I'm trying to find a reasonably priced alternator in a chrome case. This one is $76.95. Any suggestions?
