Title: Message
Ok guys, I set my photo shop up and took these pics, I am glad that I have a day job and do not make a living as a photographer. I have a hard time just turning a camera on.. Don't worry about my toes, after 27 years as a policeman, my wife says I don't have any feelings....   Please look these over.  I think I measured them everyway I could think of.  The two mounts I used were from two 66's; The BB is on the right side as you look at them, Hope this helps and at least starts the clarification process of Big vs Small which I've heard is over rated..

Brad,

I just picked up a BB set of frame mounts from Mike here on the list. When they get here, I will do a complete photo study with both BB and SB chassis mounts and engine mounts coupled and separately. Of course I'm not trying to step on David's toes here, but I need to really compare everything anyway, so I might as well document it and permanently post pictures for future reference for everyone.

Thanks to everybody who chimed in on this one.

Great shots of the height!  I wonder if the difference is in the effective location of the mounting holes once both are bolted to the frame.  Do you still have both mounts available?  If so, can you line them up with a long bolt going through both to get them in the same position, and then see if the holes for the engine mount bolt are in the same location.  I wonder if the big block mount as bolted into place would put the engine mounts in a lower position?  Does any of this make sense?
