I checked one of my books and it says this head is off an 86-88 truck; it
is an open chamber oval port. I don't know for sure but the intake
ports may be the "peanut ports". If they are the small ports, I would find
a different set of heads. As for production heads, the 049 heads are a
great open chamber oval port and do well in a street engine and would reach your
goals easily. Like the others advised- look at the package as a whole
and keep in mind that horsepower comes from the heads and how much air they can
move.
