Matt,
If it's not too much trouble,
since your dash is apart, I'd love a template. Mainly need measurements
from top of dash, (and or bottom) and how much over from side.... maybe even
overall dimensions.

pics?
I have a 69 A/C car and confirm what Bill describes
below.
Kevin, if you need a template for the passenger side let
me know. My dash is apart.

John, I haven't seen a non-air
dash with the dash out of it, but on my A/C car, the left (driver's) side
A/C bezel attaches only to the plastic part of the dash. The plastic
is cut out to fit the A/C duct and bezel, and there isn't any metal behind
it. I would think that would also be true for a non-A/C car because
there isn't any reason for any metal to be back there. Now the right
side is a different story, and the dash metal would have to be cut.
However, if you had a good template and an air saw, it could easily be cut
out. I'd like to help Kevin out with a template, but I don't want to
disassemble my dash again right now. BillL

Yeah but that was
a whole separate dash carrier & metal dash that were set up for that.
It was not the result of somebody trying to cut holes in their existing
dash. Might be tough, especially on the metal carriage that is behind the
plastic part of the dash carrier. Not for the faint of heart, although you
seem to be not worried about having the skills to do the
job.
