Clint,

You were correct, I do not have a 500hp big block. While cleaning out some file cabinets I found my engine dyno sheets for the engine. Seems in my recall of things I had transposed the hp and tq. The horsepower is 478 and the torque is 516. That is with the 750 Edelbrock carb and the Performer intake, bored .30 over, flat top KB hypereutectic pistons, ARP fasteners, Crower cam .525 lift? (by memory as now can't locate cam card) Pete Jackson gear drive, worked 1978 stock heads, balanced rotating assembly, all work and dyno done by Speed Secialities which was located in Fort Worth at that time. Attached to a 2004R non-lockup by B&M and hooked to a 1970 rear end built by my son running 3.73 gears in a posi setting. Two more file cabinets to clean out and maybe the cam card will show up. Thanks for doubting as I really needed to clean out the file cabinets.(smile)
