Hi Larry,
My 1965 SS does not have a wire from the starter to anywhere. Accessory power comes via a second smaller wire (part of the battery cable) from the battery to a terminal block on the front panel near the battery. The Factory Assembly Instruction Manual shows it as being correct.

Two questions: I rewired the car about 1991 with a Perfect Performance kit (similar to a Painless kit) I am cleaning up my wiring and must install a fusible link in the wire from the starter to the fuse block. Does anyone know the wire size of the fusible link. Also, does anyone understand the "shunt" on the ammeter circuit.
