Hi Larry! It's good to see you back.

The 350 fired up for the first time last Sunday with a lot of help from the Chevelle list on issues such as pre-oiling, dip-stick fit, removing an oil gallery plug, use of EOS at break-in, etc. Today will be the first drive, after the rain quits.

Your scanned schematic #5 shows a cable and a wire from the positive post. Mine is the same. The cable goes to the starter and the smaller wire, 5" of which comes as part of the battery cable, goes to a small junction block on the body panel in front of the battery near the top of the fender. In station wagons a red wire goes from the starter post to the rear window, my SS has no such wire.

By the way, I found a chrome 350 to go on the front fenders for $11 at www.truckandcarshop.com I'm still looking for the right 350 air cleaner label to make it look stock.

Call or email if I can help.

This is what I have. I have been off the list for a while - just
wondering how your engine installation went.
