I went to the local Paint shop today and bought
some rim paint that their book said was for 71-72 Chevelle SS rims. I know
they are supposed to be like a dark grey but when I got it home and painted a
rim it looks more like cheap chrome almost. I dont know what happend but
it was irritating. My question being does anyone know the "new" PPG color
code for the rims? They said the number I had was the old number and he
couldnt get it to cross over. I found that kind of odd since he is a paint
shop. Anyway, the paint he said was right I dont think it is becuase I
have magazines with them in it and my rim is a lighter grey than those is the
pics. Do any of you have pictures of your rims you could send me off
list? Thanks for the help.
