I installed a new grill on my 66, and it wasn't too difficult. As to the rivets, after getting advice here from list members on how to basically crush/squash one end, then trying it once or twice, I bought some screws that look just like the rivets on top that you just screw a nut onto the bottom. If you're not concerned about keeping the car original, it sure makes life easier. Using the screws, I was able to install the grill with pretty much everything else around it in place.

hello,  i  have  a  67  chevelle,  was  curious  if  anyone  has  replaced  there  grill,  national  parts  depot  has  replacement  riviets,  but  the  guy  i  talked  to  was  not  sure  as  to  what  tool  is  needed,  a  standard  rivet  gun ?  also  does  the  radiator  core  support  have  to  be  removed  to  do  this  job,  any  helpful  tips  would  be  appreciated,  thanks  ronnie
