For Timothy,Engine mounts,307 vs 327/350,I have a 69 El Camino that I've
been running around in for quite sometime and it was a stock 307 when I
purchased it in 1977 ,I am currently on engine change # 4,actually
rebuilding of.I have replaced the mounts with new ones each time and have
used stock 350 engine mounts with out any problems and you should be
alright,as a precaution I would use new mounts when changing engines.Later

Although i only post very rarely, i do want you all to know that i DO
read each and every message posted on this mailing list, and as most that
know me can tell you, other than changing my own oil, i'm pretty much
''mechanically challenged.'' Since I've joined this mailing list, I have
learned ALOT about the upkeep/troubleshooting of my Chevelle. I just
wanted to thank all of you who have ever posted anything on this board, I
am much more informed about my car thanks to each and every one of you.
It's hard to express my appreciation in a short email, but as of now, it's
the best i can do. Thanks again.

I had a D**ge when I was 16 and after a couple of sudden stops my brother
got me a plate for the massive front bumper that said "and you better
believe it!!".. Never hit anything after that !!

This has been covered several times - the 307 is unique. If you want to
use the existing frame/crossmember mounts, you must use 307 engine mounts
on your 327/350 etc. You will not have the metal safety latch on the
regular 350 engine mounts. If you change the frame/crossmember mount, you
can use the 350 engine mount.
I'm using 307 engine mounts on my 71 Malibu with sbc. Haven't broke one
yet.
