thanks bill, yeah i tried to jack it from the balancer and just couldnt get it, its not a bad idea at this point for me to pull it anyway and take care of some other issues.thanks for the response. tim mcuire

I had to remove my small block from mine to change the timing cover gasket and oil pan gasket. I attempted to do it in the car, just wasn't worth the time and energy. I don't think you can really get the motor high enough to remove the pan in a 64-67 A body(it is possible, but you have to pull too much)

ok guys, i knew i needed to remove motor mounts and jack up motor to replace oil pan, but my bell housing hits firewall before removal. i have a 67 el camino with 350 and 4 speed, i guess its a given i need to remove motor completely to change pan, huh? im only stating the obvious but any pointers?im going down many rabbit holes right now any instructions would be helpful. thanks, tim mcguire
