Dan,
There is a plate on the top, simply held on by screws. The same console is
used for auto and man and the only thing that is different is the top plate.
You could remove this plate from the console and possibly fab a new one that
would fit your shifter. I've never seen anyone do this but that doesn't mean
it can't be done.
