The oval hole faces the frame, the round hole faces the rear.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] 64/65 rear lower control arms

Anyone with an original 64 or 65 who can check their cars and see which way
the arms are installed?
There are two holes in top side of arm
(facing towards bottom of car)
one is aprox 3/8" round, the other oval.
I'd like to know which way they were put in originally.
I think it may not matter.
I'd also like to know what they were for.
Used during assembly in factory?
My two 64's I think are still original seem to differ.
Thanks.
