Yeah... this makes sense.... so it shouldn't matter if it's 4 core, instead of the stock 3 core.....

Just FYI, the 68 fan shroud is a year specific item. It has 3 bolt holes to hold it to the radiator top plate instead of 2 like the 69-72's. As long as you have the same top plate, get the shroud for the engine in the car, not what radiator is in it. Big blocks are 2 inches longer than a small block which brings the fan closer to the radiator. If you put a big block shroud on a small block car, the fan will not sit in the shroud where it needs to be making it ineffective.
