The
75k powertrain warranty is provided by Joe Gibb Performance above and beyond the
standard GM 36k warranty. There's no charge for the JGP warranty because
it's part of the package when you buy one of their performance enhanced
trucks.
The
guy that bought my truck called and asked if I could sign a paper that would
transfer the warranty so I guess he and his dealer figured out what needed to be
done.

Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] OT - Used "new" car warranty
The reason I ask is I sold my Joe Gibb Silverado and within the first week
the new owner lunched second gear. He took it to the dealer and was told he
needs to transfer the warranty. I have no clue
if it is an "extended" warranty (purchased separately when car/truck purchased) these can be transfered- the dealer where bought could tell you how, or contact the ext. warranty company- there may be a fee.
