You can use the truck bellhousing (much cheaper) and get a spacer for the transmission bearing retainer.  I got one from the following and it works great!

I think that the total including S & H was $28.00 for the spacer ring.  He really does good work and is very easy to deal with.  Tell him I gave you his info if you talk to him or email him.

His email is www.dennymac.com
Hope this helps

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Bellhousing question

Last night I was ready to install my BB finally into my 69 Chevelle, come to find out that the bellhousing does not fit (TOO SMALL) I had this bellhousing off my 350 which fit with the old flywheel which is about 12 inches in radius.
I installed a new and correct flywheel 14 inches in radius . I was told that I need a 621 bellhousing, is this correct. If so does anyone on the list have one for sale?

Thanks Joe P.
