Mainly because I've always wanted a Jesel shaft rocker system, along with the added stability at high rpm.  The cost was also a factor.  The Jesel system was $699 compared to $417 for their Hi-tech stainless rockers plus $240 or more for stud girdlers.  It seemed like the Jesel SS system was the better way to go.  The only down side to the shaft system is it's harder to adjust the valves.  The springs that came with the AFR heads were a perfect match to my roller cam and lightweight Schubeck lifters.

Herb, why didn’t you use Comp’s rockers, and beehive springs?

I'd be very interested in all the stuff you've ended up with..Like what radiator you ended up with, which set of headers, etc. Maybe you've already done that some time back. I always enjoy learning from everybody on the list, your information would be very helpful.
