Hans,
That block was probably setup for a remote oil filter, and you will
either need the remote kit, or the 'spin on' adapter to allow you to
install the oil filter.

I was told the block is out of a 92 G20 van. So according to K & N,
both HP-3002 and 2002 should fit.
