Hiya,
A box from a 92-96 Caprice cop car (look for option 9C1) or 94-96
Impala SS will have a 12.7:1 ratio as well. I'm rebuilding one now, so
I can't say of the effect, but the general consensus seems to be that
it's the best ratio! You could upgrade to a metric pump at the same
time, ie, if you're in the wrecking yard.
You'll also want to upgrade your power steering pump for greater flow
and pressure at the same time. This involved swapping a fitting for one
with a larger orifice, a shorter spring to adjust minimum pressure, and
shortening the flow valve. This page shows a comparison of a few pumps
and their interiors, and has part numbers for the ugrades.

I pulled the pump from the cop car, and the fitting and valve need no
improvement. Just the spring is different. I also pulled a pump from a
90s truck, and it was the same - just needed the spring. Take a fluid
wrench and 1" socket to the yard and see what you can assemble from
what's there if you need to do it on the cheap.
Hope this helps,
Dave.
