I've had a Pertronix module in my car for about 3 years. The version that I used the distributor did not have to be pulled, it is the lobe sensing version of the original not the Ignitor II. It has worked fine since I put it in and the best thing about that one is the distributor did not have to be pulled.

Has anyone installed a Pertonix Ignitor II Electronic Ingnition on their cars.  I read in one place that the Distributor needs to be removed on a Big Block.  Pros / Cons and what to look for?  I like the idea of keeping a stock look with the benefits of electronic ingnition.
