There are a couple shops in Elgin I cant rember the names of them right now. I think 1 of them is on 25 right in town the rod shop? I do not know the cost. When I was a teanger I helped a close friend do a 70.5 Camaro. But that was a long time ago back in the 80s.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] back-half

I'm thinking of having a '70 Malibu back-halved in the near future. I'm not going the whole Pro Street route. (at least not now) For now I'd be keeping it mostly stock except for the back-half. I'm in Chicagoland. (western suburbs). Can any members out there recommend a quality shop? I'd want to drop the car off & pick it up when it's finished. Any idea on the turn around time on this? What the labor costs might be?
I got Chris Alston's catalog and he seems to imply they do it for under $2000. I'd supply the rear end. I just love the look of this type of car. Mostly for cruising. No 1/4 mile runs. Any thoughts from the group would be great. Thanks to all.
